A stylish guide to dog-friendly places for Copenhagen Fashion Week and beyond

August 2025 6 min read

A curated guide to dog-friendly cafés, restaurants, bars and green spaces in Copenhagen. Ideal for Fashion Week, weekend visits or design-minded travellers.

Copenhagen always dresses well, but Fashion Week sharpens the edges a little. Fuller cafés, longer mornings, more dogs in tote bags. Whether you're here for the shows, passing through, or just in search of a pastry with your dog, it helps to know the places worth lingering.

Stylish cafés, restaurants, bars and hotels — all with dogs on the guest list.

Atelier September, City Centre

Minimal interiors, a seasonal menu and a calm, focused energy. Still one of the most quietly fashionable cafés in town. Dogs are welcome inside, and Kongens Have is just across the street if they need a bit of grass before you sit down.

Studio X Kitchen, City Centre

Seasonal dishes, clean lines and coffee that earns its place. A favourite for those in the know. Staff are dog-friendly, and there's outdoor seating with steady foot traffic. Bonus: Kongens Have is just next door for a post-latte stroll.

Apotek 57, City Centre

A bakery and café inside a 19th-century pharmacy, connected to Frama's design studio. Dogs are welcome inside, though there's a small set of steps at the entrance. There's also seating outside if you prefer to people-watch in the sun.

Apollo Bar, City Centre

Stylish but easygoing, with thoughtful plates and an artful backdrop. Dogs are welcome inside, and the courtyard offers a calm place to settle in when the weather's right. A good spot for a quick catch-up or a glass that turns into two.

25hours Hotel, City Centre

An official partner of Copenhagen Fashion Week, this boldly designed hotel is set in a former porcelain factory right in the middle of the city. Dogs are welcome in shared spaces. Just add the dog package when booking to ensure the stay includes everything they need. There is a DKK 300 fee per stay.

Villa Copenhagen, City Centre

A design-led hotel that's grand without fuss. It balances elegance with a sense of ease, just steps from the station. Close to wide boulevards and harbour walks, with quiet rooms that make it easy to unwind. Dogs are welcome (for a fee), and the hotel provides a bed, bowls and treats in the room.

Kongens Have, City Centre

Copenhagen's oldest royal garden, still immaculate. Formal lawns, shady tree-lined paths, and just enough passing traffic to make your dog feel seen, but not barked at.

Pompette, Nørrebro

A natural wine bar with a laid-back, local feel. Dogs are allowed inside when it's not too busy, so it's best to check with staff before settling in. There are a few tables outside if space is tight. If you can't find a spot, Villette, their sister restaurant just around the corner, is a good alternative with more space. Assistens Kirkegård is a short walk away. Pompette is a local favourite and has also been named as one of Dua Lipa's top picks in Copenhagen.

Villette, Nørrebro

A bar and cantine set in a former fire station, with high ceilings and a gentle rhythm. Villette serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a focus on Danish produce and quietly thoughtful dishes. Popular with the trendy crowd, but laid back too — everyone feels welcome. Dogs are allowed inside, and the spacious courtyard is one of the loveliest places to sit in the neighbourhood. Villette also hosts regular events, from monthly Market Days and Backyard Sessions with DJ lineups to chef takeovers and communal dinners.

Lido, Vesterbro

A calm corner on Vester Voldgade serving flaky pastries, folded eggs and La Cabra coffee. Dogs are welcome inside, and there's outdoor seating too when the weather allows. Light and unhurried, it's a good pause before or after a walk by Langebro. Sister café to Apotek 57.

Værnedamsvej, Vesterbro

A short stretch with strong café culture and even stronger people-watching. Outdoor tables at Granola, Café Viggo or Les Trois Cochons put you right in the mix. Best for small dogs who don't mind sitting close or being admired.

RASCAL, Frederiksberg

Neighbourhood spot on HC Ørsteds Vej with a strong natural wine list, local brews and simple snacks like cheese, toast and charcuterie. Dogs are welcome inside. A pleasant stop after a Frederiksberg walk.

LêLê Café, Østerbro

A cosy, dog-friendly coffee bar where aesthetics meet quality. LêLê serves specialty coffee with care and pairs it with fresh bakes from Københavns Bageri, including croissants, seasonal slices and other small temptations. The space is furnished with vintage design pieces, all for sale — just keep paws off the furniture.
